Here are some more pictures!
We have two videos of Bootsie Poo on drugs! This one is for you Kenna. She sent us some catnip, and we decided to give it a goon the babies. Koy did a lot of sniffing and blowing it around. Bootsie Poo meant business and went gung ho. He's very protective when it came to his pile of nip, and would snip at us when we tried to touch it, he's hilarious!
We've got my sunburn. This is from a nice cloudy/polluted day out on the baseball field. Nice.
Noraebang! Lucas singing, woot woot!
Monic - Hapkido is a Korean Martial art.
Luc's Grandad - Thank you for the magazines! The kids will be so happy to see pictures of British Columbia and Lucas and I have already indulged in reading the Beaver. We both really enjoy that magazine!
Dad - Dill Pickle and Ketchup chips make the world go round. I don't want to hear anymore of your disrespect towards them. Now go practice you chopstick skills :D
I made a Korean meal, complete with sidedishes. I made Dwenjjang Jjigae, with seasoned spinach, cucumber salad, pickled radish, and fried tofu stuffed with rice. It was really good, but with Korean food, there is a lot of waste, and you make such large quantities. Didn't work so well, better to eat out.
There's a picture there of Boots licking Luc's feet. I sprayed Peppermint cooling foot stuff on Luc and boots apparently really really likes it, he kept coming back for more!

Some cats can be so funny regarding their organic mental health product. Koy probably would prefer the beer and/or the chips (or the Temptations?) Did the Molson last long?
Kenna
were saving it :D it's hard though!
Mmmmm…looks great Erin, wish we could be there to sample your meal…we miss the Korean food and were not that impressed with the food in China (though I was fortunate to have escaped both countries without a ‘celiac attack’). We arrived home last night safe and somewhat sound...just a little jet lagged. Gotta love 'business class'; keeps you sane on those long overnighters (for us ol' folks anyway!!). Over the weekend I will post some more comments and will put some photos onto Facebook for those who would like to peruse.
We had an amazing time; both countries were very different and it is difficult to compare. It’s hard to believe we were gone a whole month!! Each day was so amazing…it somewhat reminded me of when we were in Disneyland, in the fact that there was never really enough time to process what you had experienced that day, yet another day would dawn and you had to moved onto another amazing day full of sights and experiences!
Both countries have incredible histories and traditions that were amazing to experience and observe. I marveled at the people; the older folks who try to retain (and know nothing other than) their cultural ways, and at the other end of the spectrum, the younger generations who are trying so hard to modernize and become more westernized.
Luc and Erin, you are amazing people and we are incredibly proud of you for embracing the experience of living in Korea. After being in a few other cities in Korea, I am so thankful you chose Daegu….the people are blessed to have you and I know you feel the same about them being your hosts .. you are in good hands…I know that now.
Thank you so much for your fabulous touring and tolerance of having us around for three weeks (or so….).I can’t wait to share our pictures and stories with anyone who is interested, and we are really looking forward to having Bev and Andy over for a ( somewhat anyway…depends on availability of ingredients) Traditional Korean meal. I am excited for Bev and Andy to visit you in a few more weeks and will start the count down until your return in Dec.(miss you) For Now, Love and BIG Hugs, Diana (who is very friendly) …and Mike (who is very funny) …(or so that is what Luc’s students thought of us anyway) say Hi to everyone for us…we miss them too!!
