Yesterday, Lucas and I hosted a potluck at our house. I spent the day cleaning, and lucas and I made another trip to pick up more alcohol at Emart. A few people couldn't come becuase a friend's birthday was also yesterday.
The party turned out to be a lot of fun! The food was rad, we had gimbap, spring rolls, salad, casserole, peanut butter cookies, grandpa squares, cake, chili, apple crumble, and quite a lot of wine, vodka, and soju. The music was playing, i ate sweets (i'm trying not to, in an effort to try and lose some weight), and the liquor was flowing. At 11 we headed downtown to meet up with the birthday party at Old Skool. I only had a mint choco shot ("there was alcohol in that???") and I was done. I wasn't drunk, at least I thought I wasn't (turns out this feeling I have this morning means I actually was). Luc was out of control last night :D He had the mint choco shot, plus a tequila shot, AND a southern comfort shot. All this after beer. Remember kids: beer before liquor, you've never been sicker; liquor before beer, you're in the clear. When we got back to the apartment, he went to bed, passed out with an angry look in this face, and stayed that way all night.
I did a little tidying before I headed to bed, which made for a better morning for me. I just have a headache, ug. And i'm doing laundry because I spilled kimchi on my spring coat, which I just busted out for the first time yesterday. It's been so beautiful here I can get away with a thin canvas jacket in the day time. I hope it lasts and doesnt go back to those stupid cold snaps.
I was just on castanet and saw this huge thing for Bust'n Loose. And right there, I see Aunty Janet. hah, nice!

Hey You Two, Think we have the mic fixed on the web cam - will try again this weekend to get ahold of you. 'Twas good talking to you on the phone the other day. Our plans are coming together : D nicely for our trip there (thanks to Dad- he's a great researcher). In today's mail we received a number of other travel books, maps etc that had Dad ordered; lots more options are unfolding as we read through the materials. Andy and Bev- we'll share them with you before you head there in June...good stuff...and in English(phew)
So Luc...a little word of wisdom when consuming alcohol that I have adopted from my very good friend Nancy, is: "Never Mix...Never Worry" ...so, when you mixed the different alcohols.... that was your downfall...stick with just one and you will likely not suffer so poorly... Grandpa would have said stick with rye and water....
Had a wonderful time in Victoria last week...wishing you were there so I could have visited. Instead I walked and shopped where we'd been this summer and fondly remembered those times spent together. I even went to the pizza place that made the Gluten Free Pizza! The flowers and cherry trees were in bloom...it made me excited to know that in six/seven weeks we will be experiencing similar sights in a totally different country ..and be able to share it with you both. I hope you receive my parcel soon...beginning to wonder if is has gone astray?.... For Now, Love and Hugs, Mom ( Di)
don't worry about the parcel. Bev's mom sent a parcel and it took nearly two months for it to reach her here!
what did you do to fix the mic?
Dad reloaded the software(?) We tried it this am with jess and it worked....see :D you later?
Dear Erin & Luc: We are back home again after our trip to Nelson and Kelowna. Roads were good on the days we had to travel. It was nice to see green grass and flowers again. Mom & Dad are getting very excited about their trip Luc. It sounds wonderful. I am so glad they are able to do all this. How is your teaching going? Carly was here in Coquitlam last week for a basketball tournament. Do you have any spring blossoms out yet? Hope those cats are behaving better. Kids are happy about Spring Break coming up. Do you get any kind of break? Any news from Sherry Lind?
Glad you received our package. We will ge going to Arizona to my sister Colleen's April 1st-14th.
Looking forward to our trip. Love to you both. Nannie & Grandad xxx ooo.
