Reading Class

Today is going to suck. First day of reading class. NO ONE know's what is going on. this month I am also being observed by the manager, and Mr. Moon (who owns MoonKkang) will be dropping in unexpected to watch. This is going to suck.

Koy has officially slept a night in his bed. I was sooo proud of him! Boots slept uner the bed at Luc's feet until Luc accidentally kicked him becuasehe didn't know Boots was there. THe next time Luc woke up, Boots was staring at him, kind of like "I'm gonna EAT you...".

This weekend Luc is supposed to go out and do some shopping, present for people, and my Christmas present. When he finishes that, I'm going to send out a rather large package for everyone. Good luck to me!

I am sure all the teachers are feeling the same as you. Give it some time and I know you will do a terrific job.

You and Luc are sounding like proud "parents" of your cats. The girls would love to see more pictures of the cats.

Happy New Year

HI Luc and Erin, Just got home last night from the lake; looking for you on MSN but you must be busy tonight. Sounds like you have been busy with the cats and preparing for the new curriculum. It was weird to be away from the computer and not to be able to know what you’d been up to; thought of you lots and wondered- looked up at the sky and saw the moon and the million stars that you can see from there and was comforted knowing you too could look at the same moon and stars and wonder about us. We had a great time at the lake and also thought of you every time I went to the wood shed to fill the wood box, remembering all the wood you both help to chop and stack on the trip in before you left for Korea. It was a small comfort and somehow also helped me feel closer to you over the miles. Weather stayed about -6 during the day which made the skating perfect- best rink ever and we were able to skate anywhere on the lake over the powdery snow. There was about a foot and a half of snow on the ground which made the skiing also really good. Santa brought us back country skiis which are like cross country skis in that they have the fish scales on them so you don’t slip backwards; but they also have edges and are wider and shorter like downhill skiis which makes it really great for skiing down steeper hills in a well controlled way ( like down hill skiing). We also have back country boots which are a stiffer boot; plus they are really comfy and warm, so a great time was had by all. I was excited to hear about your skiing adventure, after this week of skiing I too long to get back to downhill skiing, I’m glad you had fun and we will look forward to doing some down hilling together on your return. Stu and Cindy and their kids and some friends of theirs (and their 2 kids) were all at the lake, so that made it fun. They had their hot tub up and running, which felt pretty fabulous. New Year’s Eve was a great potluck dinner and then a bonfire, fireworks and evening skate, followed with a chocolate fondue and hot tub ( for those who could stay up that late….). The new truck was great; lots of room to bring stuff in and out ; Abby even has her own little spot in the back. We were not able to get down the driveway (too much snow) so we toboggan”ed” our stuff in, but as Luc knows, it is all part of the adventure! It was back to work for me today; starting my 4 day work week, yea!! Well, I am supposed to be taking down the Christmas tree so I had better get at it. Lovin’ ya both and hoping all goes well with the transition into the new curriculum- wish I was there to help you in your classrooms!! Our next assignments are to plan our trip to Korea so looking forward to consulting with you over that. Tentative plans are to come some time in mid May; we want to take you away for a weekend somewhere, so be thinking of where that might be. In the mean time, be safe and look after each other. For Now, Love and Big Hugs, Mom (Di) XOXO
