Luc and I finally got our Alien Registration Cards today and our passports back. Oh yeah!! My picture looks like I am about to murder someone. I wish the picture for my visa was on my card. *sigh* We set up our bank accounts today with Hyun (he's the guy that picked me up from that airport, and helps us with whatever we need). Our paycheques will go directly into our accounts. Now that we have that, we are going to set up another account which we can transfer money into, and then that account with automatically transfer it into our accounts in Canada. No need for wiring. It's going to be so simple. I just wonder how I'm going to do it when we leave Korea and they will still owe us money? I don't have to figure that out right now. Now that we have our Alien cards, we can get internet, cell phones, and cable. We can now rent movies and get a Costco membership. Internet and phone automatically will come out of our accounts which is handy. Internet will come out of my account, and luc will just pay me money. Cable comes in the mail, but we would just take it to the bank, and pay it there.
Only one more day of teaching, and then we're hoping to do some exploring finally this weekend. We are hoping to go to Seomun Market on Sunday, yes Bev, it is open this weekend. Then on Saturday, maybe a tour of Daegu, if plans with James come through. Looking forward to it!
I've pretty much lost my voice. Luc got me sick with his coughing fits and runny nose constantly. As the day wore on today, my voice got huskier and huskier, and now it is little more than a squeak. I haven't lost my voice for a looong time.
Hey mom, I'm quite sad. You do not comment on my blog. Did you forget how? Remember how I taught you, and then you wrote it down? :( You need to get msn.

Congrats on your "Alien Registration Cards". Make sure you place your passports in a safe place, don't lose those!
Do you remember Shannon's friend Min-Young (the exchange student from Korea)? Well Min-Young has been in Canada for one year and is leaving on Dec 28th to go back to Korea. Shannon has been invited to her going away party tomorrow and I was speaking with her guardian and she told us that Min-Young lives in Daegu. Small world we live in. Shannon hopes Min-Young will be one of your students. We tried to explain to her that Daegu is a large city and the chances of that are pretty slim.
Still waiting for some pictures of your students.
Uncle Dave said to tell Luc that Vancouver beat the Ducks last night.
Love Ya
Aunty Kathy
I on the other hand have actually figured this blogging thing out all by myself. Your mom and I are babysitting Alex on Saturday night so perhaps I'll give her a refresher course after we finish making the gingerbread house with Alex.
Sounds like you and Luc are having a blast. How did he make out with getting his own class? Has he learned to be strict?
Keep up the reports, I check everyday for new ones and I'm always disappointed when there's nothing new.
Love you.

Hi Hon, its not that I am ignoring your blog...I am really enjoying your writings and have already started scrapbooking some of it along with the pictures you have included. It sounds like you are having a wonderful start to your year. I just knew you would be a wonderful teacher! I will figure out the msn thing when dad gets home from Vancouver! Let me know when you get your cell phone and what the phone number is...love to you and Luc. MOM
Hey Luc, I have to set up my own MSN account as right now I have to go through Dad's account...which is limiting me. I'll get Jess to help me set it up Sat night(she's coming over to help set up the tree) I miss talking directly to you, but thankful for the Blog!! Hope you and Erin are feeling better- don't forget to take a spoonful of honey before bed- it really will help your coughing fits and if you can get lemons, remember Nanny and Grandad's remedy: Slice up 2-3 lemons, add 2-3 cups of water and simmer on the stove for 1/2 an hour or longer; add a tablespoon or so of honey to the mug and add the hot liquid and stir...think about all the warm thoughts everyone is sending your way and get well soon For Now Big Hugs to you both MoM XoXo ...miss you :(
